Strange surroundings for Pacific Coast men. Supply wagons and mess outfits of 91st Division in front of Hotel de Ville (City Hall) Audenarde, Belgium, November 10, 1918. This city hall was built in 1531. Audenarde was captured by the westerners of the 91st Division in the Lys-Scheldt campaign, October 31-November 11. On November 22 elements of 91st marched in the triumphal entry of the King and Queen into Brussels. Illustration for US Official Pictures of the World War, showing America's Participation, selected from the official files of the War Department by William E Moore and James C Russell (Pictoria Bureau, 1920).
