Besuch Im Kuhstall. Ruckkehr zur Natur war, seit Rousseau, die grosse Sehnsucht der uberfeinerten, der Scholle entfremdeten Stadtmenschen des 18 Jahrhunderts. Man suchte gern das Land auf, sah dem Bauer bei seiner Beschaftigung zu und versuchte sich auch selbst ein wenig in einzelnen Zweigen der Landwirtschaft, wie Obst- und Gemusebau, Federviehzucht oder Molkereibetrieb. Translation: Visit to the Cowshed. Ever since Rousseau, a return to nature was the great longing of the over-refined city people of the 18th century, alienated from the soil. People liked to go out into the country, to watch the farmer at work, and to try a little in individual branches of agriculture, such as growing fruit and vegetables, breeding poultry, or dairying.
