Modesalon. Die Modesalons der Rokoko- und Empirezeit hatten noch keine sehr grosse Auswahl an Modellen, die von Mannequins vorgefuhrt werden. Die Stelle der Vorfuhrdamen vertrat damals noch die Gliederpuppe (Mannequin). Diese Modepuppen wurden, mit den neuesten Modellen zum Auswechseln angetan, von Paris aus versandt und ersetzten die gerade erst aufkommenden Modebilder. Translation: Fashion Salon.
