Graciela Aranguiz (2nd L) is comforted by her daughters while seeing for the first time the skull, perforated with a bullet hole, of her son Jorge Torres Aranguiz, a Chilean fish vendor arrested following the 1973 coup that brought to power the dictatorship of [Augusto Pinochet], at the state forensics department in Santiago where the bones were identified, February 11, 2002. Torres Aranguiz's remains were found in a mass grave in 1992 and recently identified through DNA technology that is new in Chile and which is being used to put names to bodies that continue to turn up in secret graves and provide answers to one of the darkest periods in Chilean history.
