Australian artist Pro Hart stands in front of one of his dragonfly paintings that has been marked with some of his DNA at a local gallery in Sydney May 3, 2002. In what is thought to be a world first, cells from Hart's cheeks, collected by swab from the inside of his mouth, have been manipulated to produce a unique DNA-coded marker. This is then invisibly applied to his works, allowing them to be quickly authenticated and ensure his works against art fraud.
