Racing, Lord Derby. The Earl of Derby was third in the list of Winning Owners in 1935 with stake money of £18,689 when he won 26 races with 15 horses. In 1933 his horses won stakes to the value of £27,169. He has won the 2,000 Guineas once and the 1,000 Guineas on three occasions. The Derby in 1924 and 1933 and The Oaks in 1928 were also successful races for him. The St Leger has been a good race for Lord Derby, for on five occasions his horses have won this event.
