The Edison and Swan Electric Light Company Limited (better known as Ediswan) was a manufacturer of incandescent lamp bulbs and other electrical goods. It was formed in 1883 from a merger of the Swan United Electric Light Company - founded by the British physicist, chemist and inventor Sir Joseph Wilson Swan (1828-1914), and the Edison Electric Light Company - founded by the American businessman and inventor Thomas Edison (1847-1931).
