Mu Super Runner, a car with triangular "rubber crawler units" for wheels, rumbles down a road in Fujisawa, southwest of Tokyo August 27. Able to withstand deep snow, sand, or mud, the Mu Super Runner has been developed by Yabe Motors Co. based on an Isuzu Motors Ltd model car and is to go on the market in October for 4,500,000 yen (US$41,600). The "crawlers" are made with a specially-developed lightweight rubber, interchangeable with conventional tires, and can speed up to 70 km per hour.
