The fabulous animal represented in the middle of the group is the Kilin, king of the quadrupeds. The pigs, as always, are marked with the signs Jesus, missionary and converted; the goats, with the Western or foreign sign. All the refractory aliens, all the incorrigible Christians have been exterminated in the different ways represented before. The survivors recognize China's supremacy; they prostrate to its glory and celebrate the apotheosis of the Son of Heaven.
