ENGLAND BATSMAN THORPE CELEBRATES A DOUBLE CENTURY, 1998-11-10 (photo)

England batsman Graham Thorpe celebrates his double century during the fourth and final day of their match against South Australia at the Adelaide Oval November 10. Thorpe set a personal record of 223 runs not-out, while his partnership of 377 with Mark Ramprakash set the record for the highest partnership by any visiting team in Australia. The game finished a draw after being stopped due to rain. England are to play Australia in a five test series for the legendary Ashes title, which Australia currenty holds.
