Architects Le Corbusier (1887-1965), Jose Oubrerie, Aline Duverger and Yves Perret, realisation 1973-2006. Le Corbusier signs three religious buildings around the world. The Church of Firminy Vert is the last. The monument is both humble and masterful. The church has a square base topped by a bevel trunk that carries a small square bell tower. Above all, she realizes the syntheses of the religious works of the architect: canons of light illuminating the altar at certain times of the year, deputation, spiritual paths. Its construction went through dark hours with several interruptions, in 1973, the construction site síouven and finished in 2006. The lower part, initially dedicated to parish activities, loses its religious vocation. Its 1000 m2 will host an antenna of the Museum of Modern Art of Saint Etienne metropole. Photography15/10/06.
