1134 : Parthenay - C'est au cours d'une messe dite en l'eglise du Couldre que l'episode a lieu. Au moment de l'elevation de l'hostie, saint Bernard de Clairvaux (1090-1153) (San Bernardo di Chiaravalle) a l'idee de se retourner et majestueusement porte l'hostie devant Guillaume X d'Aquitaine qui ecoutait la messe sur le parvis car excommunie. Vivement impressionne, celui-ci s'agenouille et Bernard lui tient un sermon.
