Elizabeth Jane Howard (born 1923)Best-selling English novelist, model and actress. Her best known work, a four-novel family saga The Cazelet Chronicles, set in wartime England, was serialised on BBC Television in the 1990s and again serialised in 45 episodes on BBC radio in 2013. Her novel, Getting It Right (1982) was also later made into a film. She was married to the novelist Kingsley Amis from 1965 to 1983 .She was awarded a CBE for services to literature in 2000.
