An unprecedented clash. - On the Milan-Turin motorway there is a truck stopped due to an engine failure. Another truck arrives, the driver sees the obstacle and brakes; but on the frozen ground the car skids and a collision takes place. After a moment and a second car is coming, the driver brakes, sleds and the car goes to throw itself against the first two. But here comes a third car at full speed... then a fourth, a fifth, a sixth... When it finally comes to block the road, as many as ten cars are stacked in a tangle of wreckage. In so much trouble, fortunately, only two wounded complain, including a woman. Illustration for Courier Sunday, 26 January 1947.
