The flying jar (colour litho)

The flying jar. At the Bourget airport (Paris), piloted by Auguste Morel, the Atar C400 P made its first flight, a very strange vehicle that has neither the wings of the aircraft nor the blades of the helicopter and which is controlled by two only levers. The device, which looks like a long tube, hides in its lower part the turbo-jet that gives it the upward thrust. The Atar can stop in mid-air, move sideways to turn on itself.
