ACCUSED WAIT FOR JUDGEMENT AT THE RATNAPUARA HIGH COURT, 1999-02-10 (photo)

Some of the accused in the abduction of 25 students during a leftwing rebellion against the goverment in the late 1980s wait for judgement at the southern Ratnapuara High Court on February 10. The accused, a retired school principal and six soldiers who were jailed for upto ten years after being found guilty of abducting the students in between the period August 1989 and January 1990 from southern Embilipitiya town.
