Here, Arthur Charles Clarke (b 1917), aged about 14 years, is standing beside his maternal grandmother, Mary Jane Willis (nee Heal). The woman standing to the left is his Aunt Nellie. They are in front of a house, probably 4 Blenheim road in Minehead, Somerset, the grandmother's house where Arthur was born and spent much time during his youth.
