A Bangladesh army officer briefs soldiers on security measures at a government rest house turned residence for the head of a caretaker government in Dhaka on July 9, 2001. Latifur Rahman, the immediate past chief justice of the Supreme Court, is expected to take over as the chief of the caretaker authority as required by the country's constitution, after the present government ends a five-year term on July 13.
