Two Chinese men prepare documents outside the Beijing First Intermediate People's Court before being called in to attend trial July 9. Chinese national television will broadcast nationwide its first live court trial of a copyright infringement case from the Beijing First Intermediate People's Court on July 11. Allowing television cameras in courts, whose proceedings are usually shrounded in secrecy, is part of a wider effort by China to promote the rule of law which was an important topic during U.S. President Bill Clinton's recent visit to China.
