Pope Clement IV slices the head of Conradin of Hohenstaufen, King of Sicily (Italy) and Jerusalem (Israel) under the name of Conrad II, Duke of Swabia under the name of Conrad III and King of the Romans under the name Conrad V (1252-1268). He was the last member of the Germanic Dynasty of the Hohenstaufen. On top, an ironic inscription: “The Pope thanks the emperors for the benefits received”.
