Kiel, Schleswig-Holstein, Germany German Kaiser Wilhelm II at the launch of the S.M.S. 'Kaiser Wilhelm the Great' at the Germania dock in Kiel. The ship's bow is decorated with garlands and in front of it stands a tribune upon which the Kaiser is visible in his Admiral's uniform. He holds a bottle of champagne in order to consummate the launching of the ship.
