The Trapeze d'Orion is a very young cluster of stars nestled in the heart of the nebula. Located 1500 years - light, Orion's Nebula is the closest region of formation of stars of the Sun. Image obtained with Siding Spring's 3.9m telescope. Nebula M43 (NGC 1982) belongs to the great Orion nebula (M42), seen at bottom.
