Otwock, January 1947. A clinic and a spa for children with TB, constructed after WW2 owing to assitance of the Swedish Red Cross. At the end of 1945 its President Olaf Nurdwall persented the Polish authorities with a proposal of building a spa and a clinic for TB children. The first pavilion with 40 beds opened in September 1946 in the presence of Swedish PM Tage Erlander and Doctor Nurdwall. Pictured: Doctor Barcanowicz (from left) and Doctor Balkvist from Sweden (2nd from right).
