Switzerland Architecture Le Corbusier (b/w photo)

The French-Swiss architect, city planner and painter Le Corbusier is working on a plan, undated picture. Le Corbusier (actually Charles-Edouard Jeanneret, 1887 - 1965), was one of the defining and influental architects of the twentieth century. He contributed substantially to the implementation of the functional 'International Style' based on cubic shapes. He influenced and shaped the rationalistic architecture too. Corbusier designed various furniture pieces, which are nowadays considered classical design icons, published groundbreaking theoretical texts and left an extensive pictorial art work behind.
