At the highpoint of the Sudetenland Crisis, Adolf Hitler ordered the formation of the Sudeten German Freikorps (SFK) for armed attacks on Czechoslovakian institutions in the Sudetenland on 17 September 1938. The Nazi propaganda text on the back of the photo from 19 September 1938 reads: "The registration station for the Sudeten German Freikorps in Dresden. Sudeten German men of military age, who fled to Dresden, at the registration site in central station." (Lower quality due to the age of the document.)
