Elizabeth Arundell, Lady Bedingfeld (c.1655-1690)

Half-length portrait of a young woman, turned slightly to the right, gazing at the spectator, she has dark hair, centrally parted and falling behind, in loose curls and is wearing a pearl necklet and drop-pearl earrings. Her amber coloured dress is worn over a white chemise and has a circular decolletage. Her slashed sleeves are buttoned over her white chemise. She has a blue cloak over her left shoulder The youngest daughter of Sir John Arundell of Lanherne, Cornwall. she was the second wife of Sir Henry Bedingfeld, 2nd Bart, Great Sir Harry, who died in 1704.
