Unknown artist. Oil painting on paper/canvas, Andrew Scalch (d. 1803), Unknown artist, 18th century. A full-length portrait, seated, turned to the right, of the husband of Phillis Walsh (1762-1850), sister of Mary Walsh (d. 1829), wife of John Napier (Napper) of Tintinhull (d. 1791), father of Major Charles Napier (d. 1846). He sits in a chair in fornt of a large arched opening looking onto a grden beyond. A white-clothed table with a green book is on his right and a small embroidered foot-stool with a paper lying against it, is at his feet to the his left. Tintinhull House, Somerset
