The neuropathic elephant. At the Zoo of the Overseas Exhibition, in Naples, where two serious accidents had already occurred, a new drama took place. The guardian Domenico D'Alterio, who entered the elephants' enclosure with a banana helmet, was suddenly attacked by Baria, an eleven-year-old male, who, having grabbed him behind with his trunk, I raised it in the air, then the hurl to the ground; he was about to step on it when another watchman came, who, distracted the angry beast, managed to drag the wounded colleague out of the fence.
