Jetton of the Life Guards Semenovskii Infantry Regiment, St. Petersburg, 1908-17 (gold & enamel)

Of rectangular form with rounded corners, one side applied with the cypher of Tsar Peter the Great below a gorget, the other side applied with the cypher of Tsar Nicholas II within a wreath and below the distinction plaque of the regiment. The jetton opens in two parts, the first half shows the enamelled 1701 Semenovskii banner and a miniature watercolor portait of Peter the Great, the second half depicts the miniature watercolor portrait of Nicholas II and the enamelled 1900 Semenovskii banner with engraved number 82 and in russian on the edge Colonel M.S. von Etter 1883-1909, marked on ring.
