Opening with the Presentation in the Temple, and the Three Temptations of Christ The miniatures in this opening are part of a cycle of twenty-four full-page miniatures depicting forty-eight scenes from the life of Christ. The cycle forms a pictorial preface to the text of the Psalms. The scene of the Presentation in the Temple is out of order in the sequence of the cycle. This manuscript has been dated to ca. 1225-1240.
