Establishment of the Salique Law, redigeed by Clovis in 508. It essentially deals with the problems of procedures concerning property and persons, and it deals with inheritance rights for land which can only be passed on to men. It was on this clause, which had nothing to do with the succession to the throne of the Franc Kingdom, that the lawyers used several years later to evade women from the royal succession. Many versions of this law exist, the most recent one was that of Charlemagne in the 9th century. Here it is indicated that a representative of the Nation lays the crown with one hand on a spear or a spade (male warrior attributes) and discards from the other hand the warrior that characterizes women.
