Codex Sinaiticus or "Sinai Bible" is one of the four great uncial codices, an ancient, handwritten copy of the Greek Bible. The codex is a celebrated historical treasure. It was discovered in 1844 by Constantine Tischendorf in St. Catherine's Monastery in Sinai where parts of it are still located.
