Camp in Waziristan, 1920 circa. Photograph, India, North West Frontier, 1920 circa. A view of an Indian Army camp in the barren landscape of Waziristan. The vast majority of the troops engaged in the suppression of the tribal uprising in Waziristan were Indian. Both the Tochi and Derajat Columns were entirely Indian apart from a section of 4.5 inch howitzers from the Royal Field Artillery and No. 6 Mountain Battery of the Royal Garrison Artillery. During the campaign over 1300 men were killed in action or died from their wounds and sickness. From album of 58 photographs compiled by Sir Andrew Skeen.
