Spain, Madrid. National Pedagogical Congress. Inaugurated on 28 May 1882. First pedagogical exhibition. Installation of pedagogical material for schools following the Froebel or Froebelian system. Fiedrich Froebel (1782-1852) creates the concept of kindergarten and establishes the importance of play. Municipal Schools and Froebel School (Kindergartens). Engraving by Rico.
