Locust invasion in Agadir, Morocco, November 26, 1956 (26-11-56) - Manuscript text on the back of this period photographic print: “” This photo was taken at the top of the Kasbah. It's hardly if you see the city of Agadir at the foot, so dense the cloud is. It looks like a red snowfall and, seen from afar, has a dense red fog. Here it didn't matter, everything is still pretty green and it's over. But 10 miles away, it's the desert. I had never seen this, it's striking.”” - Grasshoppers are one of the ten wounds of Egypt (the eighth) in the Book of Exodus: “”... And they covered the face of all the earth, and the earth was in darkness, and they devorted all the plants of the earth, and all the fruits of the trees... and there remained no greenery for the trees or the plants of the field throughout all the land.”” Exodus 10:13 -14,19 - Photo Jean Manuel -
