Creator: Puller, Louisa (1884-1963) Destroyed buildings at Holborn Viaduct with workmen standing in the foundations of cleared buildings, London, 1941. Two cranes are in the road, while a tram passes from the right. Louisa Puller was a British official war artist who had served in the Women's Land Army in the First World War and was a prolific contributor to the watercolour documentary scheme Recording Britain, housed at the Victoria & Albert Museum. Her works for the War Artists Advisory Committee in the Second World War are held by Imperial War Museums.
