Paolo VITA-FINZI (31 March 1899 - 2 August 1986) writer, journalist, essayist and diplomat. From Turin, at a young age he frequented Piero Gobetti and met Antonio Gramsci; his activity as a journalist began with the collaboration on the magazine "Critica Sociale" with Filippo Turati. He later became a correspondent for Mario Pannunzio's "Mondo" and for "Corriere della Sera". A diplomat in the press office for foreign affairs in the 1930s, he emigrated to Buenos Aires in 1938 due to the racial laws, to return to Italy at the end of the war and regain his institutional roles at the Farnesina.
