Paul LEAUTAUND (18 January 1872 - 22 February 1956) French writer and drama critic under the pseudonym Maurice Boissard. The Conversations with Robert Mallet (Entretiens avec Robert Mallet, 1951), created for radio and collected in volume in 1952, contributed to consolidating the legend based on his misanthropy, on the severe peremptoriness of his judgments, on his love for animals. Among his numerous writings the best known: “Le petit ami” (1903), “Le Théâtre de Maurice Boissard” (1907 – 1941), “In Memoriam” (1956).
