COMPUTER VOLUME ANALYSIS OF MUMMY FROM CT SCAN, 2002-09-26 (photo)

A computer volume analysis created from CT scan shows a 3D rendering of the skull of a 2,000-2,500 year old Egyptian mummy while it is still inside its wrapping September 26, 2002 at Boston's Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. The mummy is on loan to Boston's Museum of Science from Atlanta's Emory University for "The Quest for Immortality: Treasures of Ancient Egypt" show at the museum. Researchers from the musuem hope that the CT scans will allow them to determine the mummy's age, gender, health, diet and the cause of it's death. REUTERS/Jim Bourg JRB/ME
