Mustapha Larfaoui, President of the international swimming body FINA (L), receives a letter of protest from Australian Women's Waterpolo goalkeeper Elizabeth Weeks (R), asking for women's waterpolo to be included in the Sydney Olympics in the year 2000, outside the Sydney Organising Committee for the Olympic Games following a news conference at the office April 24. The International Olympic Committee said at the news conference the government's financial backing and involvement in the Sydney 2000 Games was the "blueprint" for future Olympic Games, not the privately-backed Atlanta Games.
