Hawaiian sovereignty protestor Kapali Keahi of Lahaina, Hawaii carries an inverted Hawaii State flag on his shoulder while marching through downtown Honolulu to the Asian Development Bank (ADB) conference at the Hawaii Convention Center in Honolulu, May 9, 2001. Some 1,500 protestors from various organizations marched peacefully through downtown Honolulu. The $45 billion dollar ADB has 59 member countries and more than 3,000 participants including finance ministers and senior treasury officials from across the globe are attending the conference.
