A worker waters plants infront of an eight-storey condominium building in the Lao capital of Vientiane December 1, 2000. The 126-luxurious unit Park View condominium (background) is the first ever flat sold in Laos, where income per capita is almost at the bottom of the least developed countries ranked by the World Bank. The condominium is owned by a Singaporean firm. Government offices and Laotian residents are urgently preparing their offices, paving roads and decorating their houses with national and communist flags to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the country's revolution on December 2.
