The German Labor Front organized a Gauappell on October 22, 1943 in the Berlin Sportpalast. Since Goebbels had declared total war in the same place in that same year, Minister of Armaments Albert Speer had been trying to pool all his forces in order to be able to guarantee supplies for the fighting troops. The central swastika symbol in the gear wheel is the so-called "factory flag" of the DAF.
