A leopard hunting camp near Khwai River Lodge by Orient Express in Botswana, within the Moremi Game Reserve Wild . The leopard is a smart and strong feline related to lions , tigers and jaguars. It lives in sub-Saharan Africa, North Africa , Central Asia , India and China. However, in some places are threatened , especially in regions outside Africa. Leopard feels so comfortable in trees that usually carries their prey to branches to keep them away from scavengers such as hyenas . He also hunts from tree branches , where he disguises perfectly between the leaves until he somersaults over his victim . These nocturnal predators also attack antelopes , deer and pigs sneaking through the tall grass . They hunt hunt dogs and also , occasionally , people. Leopards are strong swimmers and are very comfortable in that environment, where sometimes hunt fish or crabs. Photographed in 2013
