Wie heute die grossen Hotels in der Nahe des Bahnhofes, so siedelten sich die Herbergen und Wirtshauser fruher nahe dem Stadttor an oder wahlten lokale Mittelpunkte wie Marktplatz oder Dorfanger zu ihrem Standort. Uber der Tur ragte stets ein schones eisernes Schild. Stallungen und Heuboden, wo man Futter und Streu fur die Pferde aufbewahrte, durften nicht fehlen. Translation: Scene at the Tavern.
