Oslofjorden summer 1951 The tourists are coming The American line's shiny new passenger ship "Oslofjord" arrives in Norway from America. Many American tourists on board, they divide into two groups, Americans who just want to vacation in the country and Norwegian Americans who, after many years in America, are now on holiday in the old country, after saving to the ticket for many years. Current photographer and journalist follow Oslofjord around the coast from Bergen to Oslo and depict the mood of the tourist boat from America. One of the old Norwegian-Americans who is going home on vacation, he stands by the rack and lets the sight of the old country sink into consciousness. He is just one of the many who are driven home by the memories. Although the soil was better and more easily used to where he came, it is difficult to find attachment in foreign surroundings.
