Creator: unknown An ambrotype photographic portrait. A three-quarter length portrait of Henry Flack, seaman, seated in a chair with his right hand clasped over his left resting between his thighs. He is wearing a dark long-tailed coat and waist coat, with a white shirt and cravat. Pinned to his right breast is the Naval General Service Medal, issued in 1847. The medal ribbon and Flack's eyes have been over-painted. He has a close-cropped white beard. Henry Flack was known to have served on board HMS Glory between 1 March 1799 and 3 May 1802 - see his service discharge certificate. The ambrotype is behind a white mount with black and gold borders within a dark-coloured wooden frame with intricate moldings.
