The Madonna and Child with Four Saints

The Madonna and Child appear on a bed of clouds in the sky, like a vision, and are crowned by putti-angels before four saints, two in the foreground on right and left are bishop saints, wearing more sumptuous dress and mitres and holding croziers and behind, on the left, St Nicholas, a Franciscan (? St Francesco de Paola) and St Roch on the right. The Bishop with the book, on the right, on which are three circular objects - if stones could be St Liberius of Mans or if gold balls, St Nicholas of Bari. Stourhead, Wiltshire (Accredited Museum)
