An unidentified Melbourne police constable yawns while on security duty outside the Queensland Government Travel Centre offices during a lunchtime protest July 28. The incident-free protest, in central Melbourne, advised of a coming rally against the policies of Pauline Hanson's One Nation party. Earlier this month, Hanson unveiled a policy to slash immigrant numbers and protect Australia from "Asianisation". Queensland, in the country's tropical north, is a popular holiday destination but tourism is faltering in the the wake of the Asian meltdown and, some commentators say, because of a perceived anti-Asian stance.
