A three-quarter-length portrait as an elderly man, turned to the left, gazing at the spectator, seated, against a dark background. He has wispy grey hair and long side whiskers and beard. He wears black and white clerical robes. He wears two rings on his left hand which rests on his knee. His right hand, partially hidden, rests on a chair arm. (ICK/P/238 b, is a black and white print, held in the Picture Store). The original, dated 1889, is in Wells Town Hall. Ickworth, Suffolk (Accredited Museum)
